Read from Roman, one of the participants taking part in CreativeYouth project that took place in the beginning of July in Romania:
For most of us, this was our first project. Before our travel, we were concerned about how we would get to know people and learn new things in just 10 days. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the strong connections we formed and the valuable knowledge we gained.
We are very grateful for this experience. In Valea Doftanei, Romania, the theme of our project was the development of creativity. We identified a series of very important aspects that could help generate solutions for young people who want to improve their lives and their curricular and extra-curricular activities through the development of creativity.
Creativity keeps us motivated, offers us alternative ways of thinking, and challenges us to find new innovative solutions. Each day, the program began with energizing activities, followed by discussions and workshops focused on the importance of creativity and its impact on personal and professional life. We explored various methodologies of non-formal education and discussed how to design activities that develop creativity in a way that provides competences appropriate to new challenges.
The main objectives of the project were the development of creativity, increasing awareness of its importance, and promoting non-formal education among young people. We also aimed to promote closer cooperation and understanding between young people from different European countries.
This project taught us a lot: we learned new information about fostering creativity, understood the significance of non-formal education, and discovered new cultures. We met wonderful people and were delighted to discover that in every country, there are many intelligent, kind, fun, and vibrant individuals who share our enthusiasm for creativity and collaboration. Each participant received the Youthpass Certificate at the end of the mobility.
