Rasto, STEP’s founder and president, went to Athens recently. Find out, what did he and our team of youngsters do there:

At the end of March, our team took part in a short term training event in Athens, Greece, under the project KA210 Unplugging for a brighter future – Internet and Social media addiction.

With partners from Spain, Lithuania, and of course, Greece, we had a great time full of activities that are going to be implemented in our organizations or schools. Our meeting introduced us with new perspectives on the learning process. Every participating country presented their own ideas of activities that can help young people to develop internet addiction awareness, which is the topic of this Erasmus+ project.

This project is a KA210 long-term small scale partnership part of Erasmus+ Programme. As one of the four partners, each hosts a short term training event to share their knowledge and experience with youngsters. This one was in sunny Athens, right next to the beautiful sea. We had a great opportunity to understand how the situation with internet addiction was, since a lot of Greek students shared their first-hand experience with us.

Every country presents how they grasp this huge problem nowadays. For example, we got to solve an „escape room“ from addiction or found out how important it is to be mindful in everything we do not only on the Internet. Every single activity held a different approach and will be definitely very helpful, when we will implement the results in a local high school. The next meeting will be on the Canary Islands in the last months of this year. We’re looking forward to local experiences with youth in such a distant part of Europe. 💙
