Kristína and Lívia, two young Slovak participants, share their experience from Moclín, Spain:
We attended training course with the name of „I am AIM“. The topic was aimed to help us – participants – with creating our own Erasmus+ projects – both youth exchanges and mobilities of youth workers (former training courses).
The coordinators Pablo and Francesco lead the sessions, helping us with our project ideas; giving the feedback of experienced individuals. They provided us with basic information of creating the real E+ project: filling the form, creating the timetable, etc.
The workshops were dedicated to getting to know basically everything about the Erasmus+ world. Whenever we had questions or needed something, they were there, to give us proper answers.
On the first night (not counting the arrival day), we also presented our countries with the food and drinks on an intercultural evening, where we all shared what we brought. Since this particular project was focused on youth workers or people with experience in this field, the participants were carefully chosen. It was probably the „smallest“ project we attended, because there were only two people per country. It total, there was just 14 participants + the Spanish team.
When it comes to the free time part, we experienced the typical siesta, when it was pretty much compulsory to take a nap. Spanish people live at night, which is logical because of the weather. It was the end of August and we were in a beautiful place called Moclín, which is around an hour by bus from Granada. It’s surrounded by mountains and olive trees. Even though it offers some breathtaking views – it’s located high up, around 1 000 metres above sea level – it was very hot, because it’s still the southern part of Spain.
In the end, we created some professional and some friendly connections which will be remember for a long time. Hopefully, we will meet with some people on the projects of our own someday! Thank you for this experience.
